The 2013 Illabo Show
Vintage Speedway   Demonstrations
12th. October 2013 - Illabo - 17 kms north of Junee NSW - was the venue for a vintage Speedway static display and demonstration runs to showcase vintage Speedway machines - both cars and bikes - to the Show Committee and the people of Illabo and Junee.  5 vintage midgets travelled down from Sydney along with some Solo bikes - one midget from Cootamundra and one from Victoria. Ash Suttor brought some bikes down from his Bathurst Speedway Museum for the day. The runs were held on the 1/2 mile trotting track and Gasworks Motorsports, under the guidance of Junee resident Kerry Phelan, have a DA in place to develop a 390 mtr. dirt Speedway track and driver training facilities on the Showgrounds. Dirt Karts & three 500s also took to the track on the day
The fabulous historic Junee Railway Station and Terminal in the afternon sun  - for many years the hub of rail activity in the NSW South West.
